Orchard & Flower Blossom Fabrics For An Oxfordshire Rectory Country Family Home

An Oxfordshire Rectory Country Family Home

An Oxfordshire Rectory country family home, for two hard working professionals, they were looking for a calm tranquil feeling space, with open fireplaces, we have fused modern contemporary warm textured fabrics, with a few antique pieces to anchor the room , creating an elegant modern country timeless feel, for them and their family,

The little spring blossom in the curtain weave picked out the blossom In the orchard trees surrounding the house, we installed antique gilded poles, and beautiful French tassel tiebacks and trimmings, we made beautifully soft interlined curtains, and our handmade English sofas and armchairs, including an “L” shaped corner handmade sofa, so the lady of the house, could have a nice area for coffees and chats with her girlfriends when they visit and be able to look though and admire the garden and the views, we used French fabrics, and Italian upholstery weaves, after we had hung, dressed and fitted the room our client opened the door when he came back from work and saw it all set up for the first time and his comments were “WOW”, which was a great reaction, “we have a range of beautiful fabrics and techniques to create that wow factor”, we sourced the antiques and hand blown glass lamps, so you could see through them into the garden, and the other antique lamps, and because of the shape of the room were able to create a space with two sofa lamp tables, I had seen this first done at the Hurlingham club, Battersea,  and loved the effect, and always wanted to find a room I could do this to, “so it’s our double sofa lamp table room”, Perfect.
